You will be responsible for planning, creating, publishing, and optimising content across social media channels, while working directly with clients to understand their objectives and communicate their work effectively.
This is a hands-on client-facing role where you will manage multiple nonprofit accounts and take ownership of their day-to-day social media operations and performance.

About the Role
As a Social Media Manager at Arcucom, you will manage social media accounts for our nonprofit clients across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
Your job will go beyond simply posting content. You will need to understand each organisation, its programmes, audiences and objectives, and then turn that understanding into useful and engaging social media content.
You will be responsible for maintaining content calendars, developing content ideas, writing copy, coordinating creatives, publishing content, engaging with audiences, analysing performance and recommending improvements.
You will also work directly with clients and the Arcucom team to ensure that social media work is delivered consistently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Strategy & Planning
Understand each client's mission, programmes, audiences and communication objectives.
Develop monthly and ongoing social media content plans.
Build and maintain content calendars.
Identify relevant content themes, campaigns, events and opportunities.
Recommend new content formats and ideas based on audience behaviour and platform trends.
Develop recurring content series that can improve consistency and engagement.
2. Content Creation
Write social media captions, copy, hooks, headlines and calls to action.
Develop ideas for posts, carousels, Reels, short-form videos, stories and other formats.
Turn programme updates, stories, reports, events and client information into engaging content.
Create or coordinate basic social media creatives using Canva or similar tools.
Work with designers, video editors or other team members when specialised creative production is required.
Repurpose existing content across different platforms.
Proofread and fact-check content before publishing.
3. Social Media Management
Manage day-to-day activities across assigned client accounts.
Schedule and publish content according to approved calendars.
Monitor comments, messages, mentions and audience interactions.
Respond to or coordinate responses to relevant audience interactions.
Maintain consistency in tone, messaging and visual identity.
Ensure all content is published accurately and on time.
4. Client Management
Communicate directly with assigned nonprofit clients.
Understand client requirements and translate them into actionable content.
Collect photographs, videos, programme updates, stories and other information required for content creation.
Coordinate content reviews and approvals.
Track client feedback and ensure revisions are completed.
Proactively communicate delays, requirements and upcoming content needs.
Build strong, professional working relationships with clients.
5. Performance & Analytics
Monitor social media performance regularly.
Track metrics such as reach, impressions, engagement, follower growth, video views and website traffic where relevant.
Identify which content formats and topics are performing well.
Identify underperforming content and recommend improvements.
Prepare monthly social media reports.
Use performance data to improve future content and campaigns.
6. Research & Trend Monitoring
Stay updated on relevant social media trends and platform changes.
Research topics relevant to clients and their audiences.
Identify relevant conversations, events and opportunities for content.
Understand emerging content formats and determine which are appropriate for nonprofit clients.
Avoid blindly following trends when they are not relevant to the client's objectives or audience.
